Inspired from the Past, Turned into Fashion
What we all think about the “fashion”? As far as I know, Fashion is a style in clothing, footwear, makeup, body or accessories. If something becomes popular in style, it turns into fashion. It is the newest creation of the designers. Fashion is a trend in the style in which a person dresses.
Usually, when we see something new in clothing, footwear or anything else, we say that it is something latest that is coming in the markets. Whether it’s good or bad, it’s just a style that is repeating and coming in trend.
“History repeats itself”. Almost everyone has heard this statement once in their lives. Similarly, the trending footwears or clothing or certain accessories that are coming are the collections and recreation of the past styles that were famous during those times.
Nowadays, Anarkali salwar suits are in trend. This is a form of women’s dress that is made up of long, frock-style top along with the bottoms that are usually slim fitted. It’s an elegant style that is worn by Pakistani women. Also, these suits are popular in our country as well as other countries in South Asia. These suits could’ve different embroidery and varying lengths. Anarkali consists of 3 pieces, a long kurta, a churidar bottom and a stole. Basically, they owe their name to the fictional Anarkali, a courtesan in the court of Akbar, a Mughal emperor. She was murdered because she was in an illicit relationship with Salim.
The word Anarkali signifies the qualities of innocence and beauty associated with the women. The stunning and graceful Anarkali are also related to the Indian culture in many ways. Anarkali tends to be the costume of the Kathak dancers of the Lucknow Gharana.
So this statement is satisfied that the fashion is something inspired from the past. It is not something coming or going. It’s all just a history that is repeating.
